DUXBURY, MASSACHUSETTS: Lindsay Clancy has been indicted on murder charges after being accused of strangling her three children to death with exercise bands while she was battling post-partum psychosis.

Her lawyer revealed that none of the funds raised for her husband, Patrick Clancy, via a GoFundMe page have been used for her defense as it was allegedly "Patrick's money."

What are the charges against Lindsay Clancy?

The Massachusetts mother, 32, was indicted on Friday, September 15, when a Plymouth Grand Jury charged her with three counts of murder and strangulation.

She allegedly strangled and killed her three children, Cora, 5, Dawson, 3, and Callan, 7 months, before jumping from the bedroom window of her house on January 24, 2022.

As of Saturday, September 16, the GoFundMe campaign organized by Patrick, in which he addressed his family's tragedy and advocated for forgiveness for his wife, has raised an impressive $1,075,381, surpassing its initial $1,000,000 goal.

However, Lindsay's attorney revealed that none of the donations are being allocated for her legal defense, as reported by The Sun.

Lindsay's attorney informed that "every nickel that's been spent on her defense has come from her parents," suggesting that Lindsay may require financial assistance from the court due to significant expenditure in her defense.

He emphasized that the GoFundMe funds should be regarded as "Patrick's money."

What happened to Lindsay Clancy?

Lindsay Clancy was grappling with severe postpartum depression and had been prescribed what her forgiving husband considers an "over the top" combination of medications.

Patrick believes these medications may have played a role in the tragic events that unfolded. She suffered cuts and lacerations on her wrists, which she is believed to have inflicted on herself before jumping from a window of her home.

Patrick arrived home after picking up takeout food for the family and discovered his wife outside the house.

First responders arrived and attended to his wife, while Patrick's anguished screams echoed from the home's basement, where he found the children unconscious, their skin blue, with exercise bands around their necks.

The state's chief medical examiner later determined that the two older children had succumbed to asphyxia, while little Callan had died due to complications arising from asphyxia.

In previous statements to a judge, Lindsay's attorney, Kevin J Reddington, explained that the medications she had been prescribed had a significant effect, turning her into a "zombie", according to Daily Mail.

"One of the major issues here is the horrific overmedication of drugs that caused homicidal ideation, suicidal ideation," Reddington said in February.

"They [Lindsay and her husband Patrick] went to doctors repeatedly saying 'please help us.'"

"This was turning her into a zombie...the medications that were prescribed were over the top, absolutely over the top."

"She had medical care and treatment on a regular basis. And her husband was very proactive in trying to protect her and help her with the doctors' medication she was prescribed."

"They went through hell and they didn't come back," he said.
